Broadband Access in Haywood County

When it comes to broadband access, Haywood County has been a missing link but that is about to change... Construction is underway on a new section extending from Enka to Sylva that will run along US 19/23 through Haywood County. Funding for the project comes from federal recovery grants to extend broadband in North Carolina and the Golden LEAF Foundation’s Rural Broadband Initiative. The project is being managed by a state non-profit group, MCMN (Making Connections in North Carolina).
